Which court systems are covered?
All 27 state courts (TJ), federal regional courts (TRF), labor courts (TRT and TST), and superior courts (STJ, STF). The data is a 5-year aggregation from court databases consolidated by our upstream provider.

Is this the full lawsuit text or a summary?
The response is a structured distribution, total counts broken down by type, state, tribunal, party role, and CNJ legal subject. Individual case texts, rulings, and filings are not included.

Why do large companies like Itaú show thousands of lawsuits?

What does "Active" mean in the distribution?
"Active" means the process has not been closed or archived in the court system. Closed processes appear under the Closed status, and Suspended processes are temporarily halted pending a condition or appeal.
